Hello

I had no medical or visit from a GP, they have based their decision on my form, letters and the form my GP filled in :O

Which as you mentioned, is why i cannot fathom how they can make this decision from (most likely) my GP's 'opinion'. I pur down details of both my consultant and occupational therapist, and they contacted neither!

If your GP is anything like mine, I also suffer from ME, his interest in my case is limited to the 10 minutes I see him every six months, and not always all of that, so it is possible that they were less than supportive of your claim. My GPs eyes glaze over whenever I try and explain my symptoms :(

Gordon, to you and anyone else in that position (and did I sympathise with the glazed look), do I as I did - change your GP. I found one in the same practice and told her candidly (and strictly OFF the record) that it was either finding a new GP within the practice or change practice.

A total breakdown in trust between doctor and patient is a medical problem, as well as one about reports to the DWP.

I'm guessing that the new GP had a word with the "old" GP, who said that as far as he was concerned it was good riddance to bad rubbish.

Thank you for your post, unfortunately I am already on my fourth GP and second practice, so changing again is a bit of a problem :)
