Hi CV,
Yes, send your "fit note" into the benefits office that normally deals with your benefits, keeping a copy.
Then send a further photocopy in with your GL24 also, post both by recorded delivery.
So, your normal benefits office will have the original, the DWP will also have a copy enclosed with your GL24, and you will also have a copy just in case.
I know it may seem a bit of an "overkill" but we all know how things can get "lost" in that bottomless pit at the DWP.

Hi bro58,
So i have to send two then, and also keep a copy, so i,ll send sick note by recorded delivery and the GL24 and copy of sick note by special delivery, is that what you mean.
Many thanks

Hi CV,
Just me being over cautious as usual, but you can also make comment with your GL24 that you have enclosed a photocopy of your fit note, and sent the original to your benefits office in a seperate envelope.
It may be advantageous to do this, as the DWP must have your appeal (GL24) and a fit note, before they will pay you the assessment rate of ESA.
Cheers
