have two questions am unclear about???
1) any one on long term contribution based ib when reaches the age of 60 years -- is he exempt from any future medical reviews or medical assesments??
2)any one on long term contribution based ib recieving spouses allowance payments,after being migrated to esa, does this spouse allowance continues to be paid or does it stop.
any info please

Part of the IB to ESA transfer process is that there will be no more IB assessments, the next assessment you will have will be when you are transferred to ESA.
ESA has no equivalent of the spouse allowance, however, your payments are guaranteed to be no less under ESA than they were with IB, so if required, you will receive an additional amount on top of your ESA, to make up the difference. This will remain in payment while you remain eligible for ESA(CB) or until 2020, this amount will be eroded each year, as your ESA payments increase, until you are left just receiving ESA.

so anybody due to retire in june 1965, is he likely to be put through esa assessment or it may not happen because atos are behind meeting the assessment targets.

i have a friend that is due to retire in 2015. he will be 65!
