DLA was created by gavinkus
hi i am a bit confused three months ago i received my dla renewal form which i duly filled in using the b and w guides
i received the notification last week informing me that i did not qualify for any award at all this was based on a report from the esa 50 that i filled in on june 2011 the letter stated
that basically i could did not require any help at all.
the following day i received another letter stating that i was was being awarded HRM andLRC previously my award wasHRM andMRC
i was scheduled to have total knee replacement surgery but the surgeon said that because of IHD that iwas not suitable for surgery the award i was given was for two years i cannot understand how this was arrived at.i always thought that DLA and ESA were different at present i am in the SG any comments on this would be most welcome.
regards gav.

Hi GUK,
Just to add, that the Decision Maker has been known to use evidence from an ESA WCA when coming to a decision on DLA, and vice versa.
They are allowed to use any evidence that they have access to apparently.
