Hi im not sure if any of you have had this problem but i have had my medical for dla at home two weeks ago and i phoned the dwp last tuesday and they said to try on friday and you will be able to get through to the blackpool office that deals with your claim, well i phoned again friday and a woman that was quite sharp said i should not have been told this and you cannot go through to the department that is dealing with your claim.

I can only reply in respect of DLA. For first claims for DLA, they are dealt with by Disability Benefits Centres (DBC's) located throughout the UK.
However, once a claimant is awarded DLA, then their claims are dealt with by the Central DLA Unit located at Warbreck House in Blackpool, Tel 08457 123 456 or e-mail : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
