Is it worth complaining to ICE about the way the DWP have handeled my case as they say they are independant but they are part / belong to the DWP.

If you read the document on the first link, on this FAQ :

Complaining to the DWP

You will see that you have to go through the DWP's complaints procedure before you can get the Independant Case Examiner involved.

You can also involve your M.P. though, see :

Have done both of the above have a letter saying if you are still not happy then write to ICE. Its such a long and complicated mess, how do you start to sort it out and is it worth it?

Hi ak,

If you have reached the stage in the complaints procedure where you can involve the ICE, I see no reason why you should not.

Of course, it is your decision to make.

We have heard from members who have obtained good results from the ICE, but as with everything, there is no guarantee of this.
