Didn't ask anything re pain, falling, his legs give out, she also said saw him walk 20mtrs no problems normal pace. This is untrue, he walks slowly and with a gate and has done for over 20yrs, he stopped twice with pain and also had to wait for me with the door I'm in a scooter. From the waiting area to her room was 8 mtrs. a approx
We saw cab, not much help so I need to know how to start of wording appeal re contesting what she said and he fits criteria for support gp mobility.
My other question is our gp practice policy is no support letters, will be given, they will only fill in dwp form if they write, but in the past they haven't even filled the forms in correctly missing things off.
Any ideas how we can get support, when the people supposed to help won't.

Please do not post multiple posts of the same subject matter.
All posts have to be checked, (Moderated) before they appear, therefore there will always be a delay.
I have deleted the other two duplicate posts.

Hi I'm asking for hubby, placed in wrag and atos medical doctor prognosis says no improvement expected, no work improvement in the longer term. It doesn't tie in with the wrag group, and, mobility fits the support group although she never addressed any questions re this.

Hi l,
If you wish to appeal the WRAG decision to gain entry to the SG, you only have one month from the date of the ESA WRAG award letter using the GL24 form which can be downloaded and printed off from the link on this page :
How to submit an appeal
Initially you can simply state that you wish to appeal the decision as you disagree with it, this will protect your right to appeal.
If you wish to go into more detail, of how he qualifies for entry to the SG, you should read :
Qualifying for the Support Group
Please be aware, that the "Mobilising Descriptor" is not only walking, it also includes the use of a manual wheelchair unaided, even if you do not generally use one.
Support Group descriptors (LCWRA) can also be seen here :
www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2011/228/schedule/2/made?view=plain
To qualify, you must fulfill at least one of the descriptors.
With regards to your G.P. not giving letters of support, you can request your medical records, for which there will be a fee, see :
Requesting your medical records
&
Charging for medical records
You may be able to glean helpful information from the above.
You should also view :
ESA FAQ’s
Appeals FAQ’s
And also this page : ESA Guides
Which includes a guide to appealing ESA decisions.
This page gives potential sources of advice and help, besides CAB : Where to get advice?

I would just like to mention to the moderator that the link: "How to submit an Appeal" has an out-of-date leaflet "If you think our decision is wrong". Although, I have only recently submitted my ESA50 form to ATOS I am panic stricken by time limits and try to prepare in advance, if possible. This is the reason, in my pessimism, I downloaded the leaflet GL24, 30 minutes ago from the DirectGov website and note it is dated February 2012.
Hi d1,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we will inform the site owner.
