If your comment about being moved is the result of your having received notification from the DWP, then you will definitely be transferred, however, if it is because you are approaching your IB renewal date, then you should be aware that a significant number of IB claimants have been moved on different dates, so you may not actually be moved until 2014.Hi, i will be due this asesement shortly as my long term incapacity will be changed to ESA.
Will DWP consider my DLA Award and the health problems that are within this to make a decision on my IB to ESA award.
Thanks.
ESA and DLA are different benefits with different criteria, although there are areas of overlap, so whilst an award of DLA can be used as evidence, and may contribute to an award of ESA, it will not in itself result in an award of ESA. For example the DLA mobility test is less strict than the mobilising test for ESA, it is perfectly possible for someone to qualify for HRM and still not meet the ESA mobilising descriptor.
If you have not done so already, I would recommend you review our ESA Claim guides, see

Thanks Gordon,
i have my atos appointment in to go for this.
my IB was long term over 12yrs and im a bit confused what they will be assesing me for at this stage.
Is this to transfer me to ESA automatically either wrag or support group. Or worse still even try to put me on JSA.
thanks,
Hi G,
If you are stating that you have an appointment to attend a "face to face" assessment at an ATOS Medical Centre, then your migration must have begun, and you must have filled in and returned your ESA50.
In that case, you should view :
Being transferred from incapacity benefit to employment and support allowance

&
ESA Medical – What to expect
You may also wish to have a look at the WCA Handbook which contains guidance given to ATOS HCP's who carry out assessments, this is the 7th link down the : ESA Guides page also.

Have you completed and returned an ESA50?
There are no new IB re-assessments being done, so if you are scheduled to have an assessment, it will be for ESA.
To be clear, there are no automatic transfers to ESA from IB.
Gordon
sorry Gordon.

Even though you have already submitted your ESA50, if you have not done so, I would recommend you look at our guides, also you may want to have a look at our FAQs on the transfer.

and on ESA

thanks for the links bro58.

Hi G,
Yes it certainly can be.
You should have also received a Conversion Notice Letter, at the beginning of the process, similar to this, ( Not necessarily from the same benefits office) :
www.rightsnet.org.uk/?ACT=39&fid=3&aid=4...sFDB935Ze&board_id=1
These FAQ's may also help :
IB, IS, SDA, Migration to ESA FAQ’s
Hopefully with the above, and information from the other Mods, you will have a better idea of your situation.
