This week I queried the £0.00 amount on the letter and was told that it is a computer generated letter and although I'm entitled to the payment and they made it last year the system hadn't updated itself to tell them they need to make the £10 payment in December.
I've been told if I am still entitled to ESA in November then to phone them to ensure they put on the system they should be paying me a christmas bonus.
To be clear, entitlement to the Christmas bonus is normally determined by a claimant being in receipt of a qualifying benefit during the first complete week of December.

I did ask when I phoned about the letter I'd received this week that if I was still entitled to esa in December would the system not update automatically that a christmas bonus needed to be paid. But I was told no I would be best to phone and check with them it was on the system. Because a lot of people are being left off the system or the system isn't updating properly.
The woman I spoke to did sound rather fed up of having to explain that the letter sent out is just computer generated. So I guess she may of had to explain my question to alot of people
