hi spridget,
i can see the question you asked as been answered butm just to clarify i received notice on april 11th 2012 that i did not qualify for esa only scoring six points ..i then with the help and good advice of this guide submitted an appeal which was not revised by dwp so went on to tribunal in july.
total time estimated around ten months.
its along proccess but if you know and have medical proof of your conditions then i personally think its worth appealing even thou its very stressfull.
