Christmas Payment ESA

Hi,

I have just received my letter advising of the changes to benefit rates as from April 2013.

In the breakdown on the last page it says "Christmas Bonus payment of £0.00"

I have searched and cannot find anything online which confirms that we are no longer going to receive £10 for Christmas. Does anyone here know anything about this?

A friend of mine has also received the same letter so I know its not just a mistake on my letter, we are both in the support group.

No, the Xmas Bonus has not stopped.

It may be due to the fact that you receive IR ESA rather than CB ESA.

Here is a list of benefits that would also qualify you for payment of The Xmas Bonus :

No, I receive CB ESA. I think it must be a typo, its just wierd that my friend who lives in a different part of the country received the same letter with 0.00 xmas bonus. I was wondering if this was something that everyone was getting?

I also receive DLA so I guess if for some bizarre reason they have removed my ESA payment, I will still get it for DLA.

Things are weird and wonderful with the DWP presently, it would seem that you are entitled to The Xmas Bonus.

Weird certainly but I am not so sure about wonderful!

Very strange... I received it in previous years no problem! I shall just disregard what they are saying in my letter then.
