Phone call pre letter?

The DM's sometimes do this if they are considering making a "fit for work" decision, to see whether you can provide any further evidence that may prevent them from doing this.

Just to add,
I have also heard of people receiving a phone call, (don't know if it was a DM) simply stating that a decision had been made, and The Decision Notice was in the post. This arrived a few days later.

I think The DWP refer to this as "Touchpoint 13" or something akin to that.
