DLA claim - can I use the ESA information from DWP

I hope this is a quick question! My IB - ESA claim was recently decided. Initially WRAG, then on reconsideration Support Group. Following a few calls to various DWP offices, I spoke to the DM today(amazing in itself! Even moreso he was actually very pleasant and helpful...!) who was responsible for the reconsideration decision.
He advised that he placed me in the Support Group for various reasons including being unable to mobilise more than 50m reliably, repeatedly and safely.
Question is - can / should I use this as evidence for DLA claim?
I am going to try for at least LRC and LRM, but think I may qualify for MRC and poss HRM, given the ESA decision.
I am working my way through your very helpful (but sadly neccessarily long) guide to DLA - thanks B+W, and would appreciate other peoples' experiences of DLA /ESA reports being used to determine the other benefit.
Thank you!

Yes, you can although it will not result in an automatic award of DLA HRM, the ESA test is a more strict one and should be supportive of a claim.
The situation with regard to DLA Care is less clear, with the exception of the Incontinence descriptor, there is little correlation between ESA and the requirements for DLA care.
Good luck
