I believe that if you are moved from Incapacity benefit to Employment and Support Allowance (W.R.A.G) and paid contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance it is only paid for a maximum of one year.
Can anyone please tell me if this is the same if you are moved from Incapacity Benefit to the Support Group or is the contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance paid for longer.

The payment of ESA(CB), not ESA(IR), for members of the WRAG is limited to 365 days after which, if they are not eligible for ESA(IR), they will only receive NI Credits towards a full State Pension.
Time spend in the Support Group does not count towards the 365 days, the following has some example scenarios.
