Read on here about WFI's and seen it a lot, happened to a friend he had to cancel due to being in hospital and they said it was fine they would arrange a different time, 2 days after the interview his wife took his post into hospital and they stopped his money for not attending the interview and denied all knowledge of speaking to him.
I'm due for my WFI next Wednesday, problem is I am supposed to be taking my 71 year old mother to hospital for scans 2 hours before and she is unable to manage unaided and I am next of kin and understand more of what is going on plus if there is a problem I am there on hand to give any consent.
Would they take this into consideration if I phoned and asked to reschedule the WFI, even if it was by a day or do they consider that not to be of importance as it's not directly to do with me and an appointment?
It really seems to depend on the individual adviser, some are very good whilst others appear to fit the 'jobsworth' category. I suggest that you phone and speak to your adviser, then follow-up with a letter saying something like 'following the conversation between Mr Smith and me on 3rd May, I am writing to conform that...'
