mumsgirl wrote: Hi there. As you know I am trying hard to fill in this horrible DLA form. Obviously, I will make it more up to date but I have decided to copy a lot of what my mental health support worker wrote on my last one and change it a bit. My question is do you have to list ALL your illnesses? I want to claim for mental health. But I have noticed that she listed all my illnesses, including what might be regarded as 'petty' or irrelavant, for example wear and tear in my knee for which I take prescribed painkillers,. I don't feel any of my illnesses apart from my mental health ones causes me problems - I mean I can walk fine and such like. I think she listed them because they were all on my presciption list? Is there any value in mentioning other illnesses including the drugs I take for them and any appointments I had to attend for them like XRays?
It is really up to you, but a range of problems does suggest a general level of disability that may help in your claim for DLA.
