Hi migmogs,

Let me get one thing absolutely clear from the start. You have not been found 'fit for work'. By putting you into the WRAG the DWP have accepted that you are not fit for work. You cannot be asked to work or seek work while you are in the WRAG. However, you will be expected to undertake Work Focussed Activites and possibly forwarded to the Work Program, depending on the length of time before your next assessment (you can find this out by asking DWP for the 'prognosis' ). it is often possible to have the WFIs undertaken over the phone or even, very rarely, in your own home. However, this is entirely at the discretion of the JobCentre advisor assigned to your case.

However, if you feel that you match the Support Group descriptors you are perfectly entitled to appeal

Qualifying for the Support Group

There is a theoretical risk to appealing

Is there any risk to challenging a decision?

You would still have to undertake WFI's but should not be forwarded to the Work Program while awaiting appeal.

If, having read this, you think you might want to appeal, please come back to this thread/topic and ask for further advice. You will be able to find it easily in future if you bookmark it or make it a favourite now :)
