Hello all

I have just received a phone call from Atos , they said ' we are calling to tell you that you will not need to have a medical. The doctor had read my esa and as a result of further information from my GP , I did not have to have the medical. He did not say what group I was in but that my case had been returned to the DWP. Can I finally relax ???

Hi t555,

If you do not have to attend a face to face,then you cannot be found "fit for work".

It looks like it will be WRAG or SG.

The ATOS person that you spoke to would not be able to inform you which group you have been placed in, as they only make recommendations.

It will now be The DWP Decision Maker, who makes the decision on whether you are to be placed into The WRAG or The SG.

Oh dear . I thought that as I didn't have to have a face to face this would be positive news . Initially I had to have a medical and now they are saying No.... If it's wrag I can appeal though I suppose

You can appeal if it is WRAG.

It is positive news as you know that you cannot now be assessed as being fit for work.
