Data Protection Act Form at WFI was created by Fawlty
Hi Just a quick one.

When I attended the first WFI I was told I had to sign a form and in the advisors own words he said "We require you to sign the data protection act form as we now hold details on own systems about you" so I did actually sign. I wasn't having the best of days and they used the normal distraction techniques while I was trying to read it and ended up signing it without reading it fully.

Now that I have been removed from WRAG and placed into Support Group can I ask for that document to be destroyed or get a copy of it?

Lastly if it turns out in some of the small print I was signing away my life can I make a complaint as I was told it was the Data Protection Act only so therefore willingly lied too?

Thanks

You can make a request for all paperwork relating to you. I think you might have to apply to the JobCentre involved and make it clear that you are making a 'Subject Access Request'

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Thanks for that Mrs. H

I am normally very careful in what I sign and read it several times but due to circumstances at the WFI I think my head was screwed on backwards.
