Tired of waiting ???? was created by Buckie
Hi all.... Just wondering if anyone knows or has had experience of waiting for a Tribunal hearing for ESA ?
It's now been over 3 months since I got the letter saying we will look at it again and if it can be changed they will otherwise they will send it on to the Tribunal board !
Just so tired of waiting for this process to happen .....

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

All the waiting is horrible, isn't it?!
My own reconsideration took almost 6 months, although I have heard of others being done and dusted within a few weeks. I'm afraid that all I can suggest is that you phone DWP to find out what is happening.

Hi Buckie,
Just to add to Mrs. Hurtyback's post, my Fit for Work decision was made at the end of October, 2012. I appealed, received acknowledgement of receipt of the same by the DWP, and have heard nothing since. So you see, you are not alone. I cannot think of another organisation where you are treated in this fashion. Even people accused of a crime have had their day in court in less time than I have been waiting for the DWP to pronounce judgement on my case.
I hope you hear some news soon. Good luck, if and when you get your day at the Tribunal.

Hi Buckie,
I am pleased that you have at least heard from the DWP and have moved forward to the next stage of this long, drawn out and stressful process. I wish you every success when you at last get to a Tribunal hearing.
In my situation, I telephoned the DWP yesterday, in a bid to find out what the current state of play is with my appeal. All they could tell me was that my appeal had been received and acknowledged in October, 2012 and that it was ongoing, but nothing more specific. My official representative has now decided to re-submit all the appeal paperwork, and to wait and see what happens from there.
Good luck again.

Remember that the call centre staff only have access to what is recorded on the computer system, the vast majority of the Reconsideration process is manual, only the result will be recorded on the system.
