I was placed into the WRAG group without having a medical.

I have decided not to appeal as I am currently experiencing increased anxiety and ill health both physically and mentally.

I am fortunate that my employer who pays my medical retirement pension will make up the difference if I loose the benefit albeit a defecit of £20 per week which I will do after the 365 days ruling as my husband has a salary works more than 24 hours a week and we have assets.

I have been sent a letter telling me that I was required to attend a WFI then they cancelled that and sent another letter with a new date.

Can you advise what happens at this WFI?
How often will I be required to attend these?
They mention Work related tasks what are these likely to be?
What happens if you are unable to carry out these tasks?
Am I right in thinking that they cannot force you back to work whilst in this group?
Would a letter from my CPN or GP help in order that they conduct these interviews over the telephone as I can only attend on days when my husband can take me and he already takes time off to take me to my weekly CPN appointment.

What exactly happens after the 356 days are you then credited with a NI stamp contribution and is there any criteria for this being allocated?

Have a look at the following

Work Focussed Interviews

You may be able to arrange some of the interviews be carried out over the phone but it is very unlikely that this will be the case if you are asked to carry out Work Related Activity, this may be attending courses and similar activities.

While in the WRAG you cannot be asked to work or even to seek work.

At the end of the 365 days you will not be required to participate in any further WFIs or WRA, you will receive NI Credits but should expect to be re-assessed on a regular basis, this will consist of a new ESA50 and possibly a face to face assessment.
