Is reduced ESA50 space intentional ?

Also, can someone tell me the order things happen. When the ESA50 is sent to ATOS, if a face to face is not required, do they also mark it ? Or is that always DWP ? One of my previous ESA85's said it was marked by a nurse. Is she part of ATOS ? Do they also make the final decision ?
If I disagree with a decision but don't want to appeal at first, can I ask them to look at the decision again along with my reasons why I disagree ? I know you suggest to appeal straight away, but can it just be asked to be looked at again first ? If so, how is this done ?
Finally, is this ESA113 the current one ? www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/esa113-interactive.pdf
Thanks.

When I look at last years, they make the boxes use up all the space available on the page, on the new ones they squash everything to the right of the page. I just wondered if anyone knows if this is an intentional ploy ? I know you can use additional pages but that is a hassle for many.
Sorry, not the faintest idea.

ATOS use doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, midwives, and OT's to do the assessments, all our trained to a standard set by the DWP in disability assessment.
ATOS staff make a recommendation based on the medical evidence, only a DWP Decision Maker can make a Decision on a claimants claim.

Contact the DWP and ask for them to Reconsider the Decision, you can do it over the but I would recommend your doing it in writing.

As far as I am aware, yes.

Hi B,
Once a Nurse, Midwife, OT, Physiotherapist or Doctor receives training from ATOS, and is classed as an Approved Disability Analyst (ADA), they can carry out assessments for various medical conditions.
Doctors are supposed to be used for certain neurological conditions, but information regarding which neurological conditions this pertains too is rather sketchy.
All assessing ATOS HCP's are supposed to have telephone access to ATOS Mental Health Champions if needed when dealing with an assessment of a claimant with mental health issues. Again information regarding this is rather vague.
This document was provided as the result of an FOI request, whether ATOS adhere to the guidance is another matter. :
