My questions is should I send this in before my f2f or just take it with me, they will read it when I give it to the doctor at the start? I think I read somewhere that when its mental problems you have to been seen by a doctor for esa in all circumstances? So even if I send this I will probably still have to attend, and if that is the case I might as well just take it with me? What are your thoughts?
Many thanks

I have a memory problem caused by a brain injury and get confused very quickly, takes me a long time to work things out. Well, I forgot to put my evidence in with my esa50 and asked should I send it, and I did, but it was just my evidence. As I say it takes a while to work things out and after reading what everyone else is doing I went to my surgery to see what could be done. It cost £10 but they have given me copies of letters from my consultants that I see for various ills and my doctor has written a lovely letter for me.

Hi M,
As you have around a fortnight before your scheduled face to face, it would be worthwhile sending copies of this fresh evidence to ATOS at the same address as your ESA50 was returned to.
You could also send the same : FAO The ESA Decision Maker, IB Reassessment Team, at the address of the DWP Benefits Office/Centre on any ESA letters that you have.
You should put your Name, NI Number and DOB at the head of any individual pages, and include a covering letter requesting that this fresh evidence is taken into account, in addition to the ESA50 that you have returned.
There is a chance that this could result in ATOS carrying out a paper assessment rather than a face to face if they feel that this fresh evidence provides enough new information for them to do so.
If they still insist on the face to face taking place on the 10th July, you can also take copies along with you and present them to The ATOS HCP before the assessment begins.
They are supposed to read any such evidence, as advised in The WCA Handbook.
Doctors should be used with certain neurological conditions, but ATOS claim that all assessing ATOS HCP's have telephone access to Mental Health Champions when assessing a claimant with MH Conditions.
There is further information regarding this on the ATOS Website, where you could also contact them via e-mail, with any queries regarding the provision of this fresh evidence.
