IB Claimants also receiving DLA High Rate Care were excused from PCA reviews, however, this does not apply to ESA.

This does not mean that your son's partner will definitely have to attend an ESA assessment, ATOS may be able to make a recommendation on their claim without the need to see them, this will to a considerable extent be dependant on what is stated in the ESA50 and any evidence that is attached.

Even if they are required to have a face to face assessment, it may be possible for this to be held in their home, although they will need the support of their GP to arrange this,

Please be aware that both the ESA Descriptors and Regulations have been updated since you were last assessed, so they will need to refer to the latest guides to ensure that the information entered into the ESA50 is relevant.
