Can any one tell me what I can do to help my husband, he is so crushed by his recent experience at an ESA tribunal where he was appealing to be put into the support group. The tone of the panel was set by the doctor looking at him with such a disgusted look on his face when we entered the room, this was followed by the doctor speaking to him as if he was some kind of of lower life form. The doctors tone was rude, disrespectful and bad tempered. He frequently shouted at my husband, did not let my husband finish sany answers, demanded just one word answers and generally bullied both of us. We felt like dirt by the end of the tribunal. The judge on the panel seemed to be cringing regarding the doctors attitude but did nothing to help my husband. The doctor upset my husband so much. I tried to find my way around the court qwebsit in order to make a complaint but even the complaint form I eventually found is restrictive. We now feel totally disenfranchised. My husband's ESA has ended and we just don't know what to do.

Hi Annie,

I am so sorry that your husband was treated so badly! Tribunal panel members vary from very good to very bad, it seems that you were unlucky enough to get the latter :(

You can certainly complain to the Tribunal Service

In this situation, I think I would also be letting my MP know how badly the system has failed.
