Thanks for the reply, Gordon, and the information regarding the payments. We will bear that in mind and see what happens in a year's time. I am just hoping that we don't have to fill in all the forms again when he is due for reassessment when he will be approaching 65! Who knows?

Thanks for all the help and support. It is a great site and I have gained a lot from reading other people's experiences as well as the guides.

Best wishes

Thanks for the post Bud and the extra information about appeals. My husband is just so anxious that the whole waiting process would finish him off mentally! He hates people judging whether they think he is too ill to work or not. We have had a lot of problems in the past with even doctors telling him there is nothing wrong with him and then he ends up having to have emergency operations! For some unknown reason people seem to think you are putting it on and exaggerating.

We have been married 36 years and I know my husband and I know he is too sick to work! If he could work, he would! If he appealed and lost he would be devastated because once again it would be like people were not accepting his conditions as being real. As least he is in the WRAG and because of his age won't have to attend the WFIs.

Thanks anyway.
