A hell of a way to run a railroad was created by David Mackinder
I just wanted to let you know the outcome of my recent WCA.

I was sent the form at the end of January, so it has taken about 6 months -- way longer than the 'up to 13 weeks' the process is supposed to take. I had my WCA about two months ago and have been anxiously awaiting the outcome. On Saturday I received a notification from the DWP's Belfast office telling me that as a result of a recalculation I would be receiving the Christmas bonus this year. I phoned the office's 0845 number on Monday and when asked how they could help I said I'd received this perplexing letter and that I was actually still waiting to be notified of the assessor's determination of my WCA. I was told that Saturday's letter was, in effect, the notification. I politely explained that nothing in the letter referred to the WCA. The very helpful operator then checked my details and was able to tell me that a determination had indeed been made and that I will remain in the ESA supported group until May 2014. I suggested as politely as I could that this was not a very good way of communicating with anxious vulnerable clients such as myself and asked if I could have written confirmation of what I'd just been told. This afternoon's post contained that. As you will appreciate, my anxiety now centres around the prospect of a reassessment in May next year. This last 6 months has, in some regards, been hellish, and the thought of going through it again so soon fills me with dread.

Hi D,

I am glad that you have been awarded Support Group ESA again. The DWP have very strange ways of communicating, don't they?!
