DLA update; still waiting

Hi there

I am still awaiting a decision for first DLA caim. I phoned DWP last week who advised GP had sent factual report back on 15 th Juy and it had gone to decision maker on the 16 th. should I read anything into the delay?

Getting quite frustrated now as it takes forever to get responses from anywhere. I am just about to start process for claiming NHS pension for IllmHealth ( deferred benefits) and am worried about coping with too any different processes whilst trying to anage chronic pain!

As you say, the waiting is horrible and it is difficult to think of anything else! However, I don't think you can read anything, good or bad, into the delay.

Yes, you are probably right, but you read so many negative outcome stories for DLA that its difficult not to hold out too much hope. I haven't even started on the NHS ill health retirement process and feel like giving up already!

Why do we have to fight for rights we have earned and need. Keep calm and carry on!

I got my NHS ill-health pension very easily, it was much better than I was anticipating. I hope that the process goes well for you too.
