Migrated from ESA to WRAG and failed at recent Tribunal to be placed in Support Group so stay in WRAG. Will go onto CB ESA shortly. If you are placed in WRAG with clearly no prospect of finding employment because of health issues is there any opportunity to complete another ESA50 or do you just stay in WRAG?
All ESA claimants should expect periodic reassessments for the duration of their claim. The frequency of these reassessments varies from 3 months to 2 years for people in the WRAG. The reassessment can include another ESA50 +/- a face2face assessment.
You are probably aware that contributory ESA is limited to 365 days for people in the WRAG? DWP should write to you about 8 weeks prior to this, to warn you that the cut-off date is approaching and ask if you wish to claim income-related ESA (which depends on your income and assets, plus that of any partner you live with). However, as DWP often fail to do this, we advise members to keep track of the date and contact DWP if nothing has been heard by 6 weeks before the anticipated cut-off date.
The financial assessment for income related ESA is separate from any reassessment of your medical condition that you might undergo.
