Hi All

Got my PIP Assessment at home with a Capita representative and starting to get very anxious. Does anyone have any positive stories or even a PIP AWARD?

So far only one member of B&W has had a result which was in their favour, looking at other forums, there appear to be huge delays in the system affecting both ATOS and Capita, the latter appears to be very slow in completing reports and passing them back to the DWP.

The assessments seem to have been done in a professional manner, but with so few results it is not possible to gauge their accuracy.

Thanks Gordon

I was expecting to get a decision within 2 to 3 weeks from tomorrow. I am now going to have to wait longer than I expected then. Oh well at least they were professional.

It's pretty impossible for us to speculate. Currently only new PIP claimants are being assessed, although those with time limited awards of DLA could also be assessed for PIP, or those who report a change in circumstances.

Current DLA claimants with an indefinite award will not be reassessed until 2015 at the earliest, presuming the IT system is ready.

Members will be kept up to date via our fortnightly Newsletter.

There is also a thread in Spotlights which is regularly updated to for members at Personal Independence Payment

Thanks Jim. I was presuming new the first new PIP claimants would have had assessments in August and decisions by now but this does not appear to be the case.

Hello Deanothemachino,

I was the one who was recently granted a PIP award, I used the guides on here. My medical was with ATOS, to be honest it was not that bad. My medical was at a Physio centre.

Anything I can help with let me know and I'll gladly give it from my point of view. I'm no expert granted but I like to help :)
