Although it is ATOS HealthCare, it is not the same people who do the ESA assessments, it should be a doctor and the assessment will be done using a form, the assessor will ask you questions about your general health, your conditions, your Care needs and your problems with walking.
Good luck

I was just reading the letter that came with my renewal pack. At the bottom of the page it states the mobility component will continue if I do not send the care renewal form back. Is this visit just for my care needs and my mobility component is safe,or as safe can be?

Hi P,
It would seem logical that the medical would be pertaining to your care needs.
However, DLA is a single allowance with two components, Care & Mobility.
Therefore, I cannot state definitively whether or not the assessment would also take into account your Mobility limitations, and whether any observations and/or adverse comments would be made regarding said limitations which may or may not put your Mobility award at risk.
You could contact them to find out the actual purpose of the assessment.
