TOPIC: ESA Assessment

ESA Assessment 4 months 1 week ago #227524

Hi guys. Looked through f.a.q. but can't find answer. Briefly when completing form re: what dates can you not attend there are a couple of hospital appointments but also a brief holiday not far from home. What is the situation if you put this down as dates unable to attend? Will it count against you.
Also the Health Assessment Advisory Service said in reply to me asking if assessments were only carried out during the week "They sometimes do them all weekend". Is this usual?

Include your holiday dates and go as far into the future as you can, some members have reported waiting nine months for an assessment.

Some assessment centres are working over the weekend to try and reduce the backlog.

Thanks Gordon,
Finally should you state that it is due to a holiday or just that you are unavailable? This instance is a week not far away to try and calm down to be able to control pain and enable attendance to a daughters wedding.
As we both have said some centres are running weekends so should the Saturday of a wedding be included?
Thanks for your help Gordon - you deserve a knighthood for your never ending patience and willingness to help. Much appreciated.

I would include any day that you are not available including Saturdays and Sundays.

If you are going to be away from your home then I would say this but you don't need to elaborate on why you will be.

If you are at home but unavailable then I think you will need to provide some level of explanation, for example; hospital appointment.
