Universal Credit Appeals 1 month 1 week ago #249048

Are you allowed to have support with you during a telephone appeal and if so, do they have to be in the same room as you for the hearing or can they link in to the hearing?

Person lives 15 miles away and is locked down since 19 March due to wife's medical condition and cannot travel to be with me as that would endanger his wife who is receiving chemotherapy.

He is my representative and advocate but I cannot discover any guidance that tells me whether they can link in to the hearing to provide me with support, if he is not with me at the time.

You will need to liaise with the Tribunal Service but it should be possible for them to do a 3-way call to you and your representative.
