TOPIC: DLA to PIP

DLA to PIP 5 months 1 week ago #221066

Please can I have advice. I am in the ESA ( Support group ) Was on lifetime DLA , now have to change to PIP. Do the DWP use the ESA information in assessing you for PIP. I am sure I read
somewhere that they did. Many thanks.

It is extremely unlikely that the DWP will use any of the information from your ESA claim in regard to your PIP one, if you think that the information is relevant then you need to include it yourself and explain why, even where there are areas of overlap there can still be considerable differences in the criteria.

See our PIP Claim guide for more information and assistance with your claim.
