DLA to PIP 6 months 1 week ago #226008

I have just received the PIP booklet to complete. As I`m already on DLA I asked a few questions when I registered for the PIP changeover. I asked could evidence from my previous DLA award be considered. The lady said it could. Is this the case? If so, do I write that request in the claims booklet? And will they locate and use the DLA evidence?

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I've moved your post to its own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in other member's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.

They can use information from your DLA award but the information may not be available now, the DWP routinely destroy old documents that they feel are no longer required.

Our recommendation is to include the information yourself if you can, that way you can integrate it into your answers on the form but be aware, the criteria for PIP is very different from that for DLA and you will need to show the relevance of the information to the PIP Descriptors.

Please see our PIP Claim guide for assistance with completing the form.
