TOPIC: Dosette box

Dosette box 5 months 1 week ago #237394

Hi.
I was looking through my PIP award yesterday, and realised that I was not awarded any points for using a dosette box.
I was awarded 11 points and therefore have standard rate care, but I’m confused as to whether I should have been awarded a point for managing medication, thereby taking me up to enhanced care.
Unfortunately, my award was given over a year ago, so I appreciate nothing can be done. To be honest, I was so delighted to have kept my motability car, that I overlooked this mistake.
Out of interest, as (if indeed a point is awarded for a dosette box), the DWP made the mistake, is there a cap in the length of time this can be pointed out to them?
Thank you

There is an absolute limit of 13 months in which to make an appeal.

Using a dosette box will not score you the points you need to show that you are unable to reliably manage your medication without the use of one.

Hi Pet lover,

We should be in touch as I am in much the same position. I currently get no money for care ( 6 points ) but if the dosette box and prompting question awarded 2 points not 1 I would get 8 points so would get money for care.
This 1 point is a joke as scoring points here cannot be added to the 6 and so get the award.

Is this similar to you and if you are within the 13 months, do you want to make a legal challenge with me?
