TOPIC: How much notice do you need to give Carer's Allowa

How much notice do you need to give Carer's Allowa 1 week 4 days ago #239793

Hello again, how much notice do I need to give to Carer's Allowance as due to my own health I can no longer care for my mum. Obviously you need to tell them straight away about any change in circumstances however if I rang today for example to stop my claim would they say I need to pay this week's money back so am I best to say that I will carry on for one more week then stop?

Carers Allowance is paid in arrears so there shouldn't be an overpayment but if you can tell them in advance of you stopping the care.
