TOPIC: Does ESA, PIP not make me eligible for Housing Ben

Does ESA, PIP not make me eligible for Housing Ben 1 week 2 days ago #241174

Hi there
Could you please help me with my urgent matter.
i suddenly received letters 1 for ESA review for which i have followed the guidelines on this website to submit the ESA50 form.
2, that my housing benefit had stopped because i am on ESA, i have a child of 4 years old whose mother was receiving tax credit and childcare for which these childcare are used directly for the chidcare costs. i do not received this directly but the mother of my son does.
in the latest letter i received yesterday, i then received a new worked out calculations which includes the childcare paid to childcare provider, and stated that hence my income is high and no longer entitled to housing benefit. i am still awaiting decision from ESA. i have both physical and metal disabilities. i have provided all proofs. The help i needed from you is to find out if i am told that i am not entitled to housing benefit any longer, is this a correct decision? despite having the mental impairment form for the council tax exemption in place, and i am expected to pay back £8987.00 around £9,000.00 from may last year because i had a partner living with me.
my question is am i not entitled to housing benefit, ESA, PIP because i have someone living with me who gets the childcare/tax credit that are paid directly to the childcare providers?
Please help!!! for this matter has caused me a lot of mental distress , physical bodily pain and a set back in recovering from my depression. it is a hard struggle getting around writing this message. Please advice its all muddled up? many thanks

I'm afraid Housing Benefit is not an area of benefits that we cover on the forum, all I can suggest is that you get face to face advice from a local Welfare agency, do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.
