TOPIC: denied PIP transferring from DLA

denied PIP transferring from DLA 4 days 9 hours ago #241432

I'm from N Ireland, my laws may be different, I have several neurological and psychological conditions and epilepsy. High support, low mobility on DLA, transfer to PIP my health assessment was made Feb 2019 by a physiotherapist who didn't even know about epilepsy, went through to appeal 2/12. I was getting so upset about it, as here in N Ireland we don't have the doctors who work with these, I d haven't received treatment , hardly understand it myself, so it was a terrible time trying to persuade others who aren't health professionals. When I came for the appeal, 2 December, I was told, sorry, there's so much evidence to read for the two cases before you we can't take your case today, we'll put you on a list. I said I wouldn't accept that and left. I'll be getting top up payments until March next year, pension starts April 2021, I hope I'll survive but it was such a relief to be out of that battle. Should I, can I start another claim?

G

Whether you should make a new claim is a question that only you can answer but there is no restriction on you doing so, you can start one today but you do need to consider the reasons that your last claim failed and how you might address them.
