TOPIC: PIP Success!!!

PIP Success!!! 10 months 6 hours ago #224487

Just wanted to let you know the outcome of my recent DLA to PIP application. Success!!!

MRC on DLA to Standard Care on PIP
HRM on DLA to Enhanced Mobility on PIP both awards run from 6th February to 11th November 2021, and it mentions being contacted after 11th November 2020.

Firstly thank you so much B&W and of course Gordon for all your help in my success with this claim. It's very, very much appreciated.

I do have a couple of quick questions please.

Do I still qualify for the Severe Disability Premium that was paid in with my ESA with this standard care as there was no mention of it in the letter, and if I recall correctly when I got awarded it under DLA I had to fill out some more paperwork to make a claim for it. If I do qualify still will they just pay it, or do I need to make another claim??

Secondly, as my award is for 2 years and 9 months, when the new paperwork does arrive will it be a Review or a full re-assessment, as I understand there is a difference in the forms to be filled out????

first, well done on the award, congratulations.

Any PIP Daily Living award qualifies you for the SD Premium in your ESA, there should be no interruption to your payments of this but some members have had problems when it was cancelled for DLA but not then added for PIP so keep an eye in your payments.

It will be a reassessment using the AR1 Review form.

Thank you Gordon.

Sorry, one more question I forgot to ask

I already received a copy of the F2F assessment report well before Christmas. Now that I have the decision is there any other paperwork I should be requesting for my records and to see how they reached their decision or is the F2F Assessment report that I have already received all that I would be given if I did apply?

No, the assessment report and the Decision Letter should cover everything.
