PIP Tribunal Won! was created by Ruth Noah
I went for my PIP Tribunal yesterday and won!
Previously I had been getting higher rate care and mobility, (for 15 years). I had just renewed my Blue Badge and was given lower rate care and mobility. I had to return my Motability car.
I decided to persue just the mobility component. To cut a long story short, I was asked the correct questions by the doctor and disability specialist, in fact I was asked a lot about the care component! The result was I will now receive Higher Rate Mobility AND Care - what a result, I was flabbergasted to say the least - at last, I was listened to by people who knew what I was talking about!
So, thank you, thank you, thank you for all help and knowledge you gave me. I recommend going to a Tribunal, it doesn't take as long now - all in all it took 6 months to get through the whole process from receiving the first PIP letter to Tribunal.
I would also like to say that the Tribunal was not frightening, they were kind, considerate without being condescending.
Good luck to everyone!

That's great news Ruth! Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W
It seems to be taking around 8 weeks for DWP to action these decisions and get payment organised.
