Advice needed about PIP mandatory reconsideration was created by debslosjoe
I was on enhanced care and mobilitity, after review I was lowered to standard care, enhanced mobility despite having many new health conditions. I sent my MR off over 3 weeks ago and got my MP to email it direct from their office together with an email from the MP. I kept it to 5 pages but the asssessors report was full of lies, she didnt use any of my evidence and didn’t list all of my health conditions. She didn’t carry out any tests saying she was in a rush and that she could see how much pain I was in and wouldn’t insult me by asking me to do them. Then she out in her report that I refused to do any of the tests.
The waiting is making my anxiety levels really bad. Has anyone got any good advice about when I might hear and if there is any help out there. I live in Birmingham and everyone seems to be saying there is no help available.
Should I ring the DWP or leave them to it? I feel out of my depth with all of this so any advice would be appreciated.

It can't do any harm to call the DWP, Decision Letters often take a couple of weeks to arrive and they can tell you on the phone what the Decision is once the letter has been sent.

There is no required timescale, we used to quote 5-8 weeks but there has been a slow-down in the PIP Decision process so you are probably looking at 6-12 weeks at the moment, obviously, Christmas may add to this.
