First of all a massive thank you to this website for all the help and support given to help complete these complex and often misleading forms.

My DLA award of 5 years was due to end in July this year and I fully expected to have been told I would have to claim PIP. Instead I was sent a DLA renewal form. I rang to question this and was told that my area was not yet in the 'PIP rollout' so I would have to make another DLA claim.

Anyway, I filled the form out and gathered all my necessary supporting documents and sent it off. within a few weeks I had a letter to say I had the same DLA award but for an indefinite period.

Now with PIP being introduced I just wondered when I would be invited to claim PIP? I think it's anytime for October 2015 now but not sure and also I'm not sure if I will be at the end of the que for re assement of PIP as I have just had my DLA looked at recently?

In a way I would have preferred if they had invited me to claim PIP instead of DLA again as I know I will have to go through the process all over again shortly and it's very stressful and worrying time!

I'm still waiting for an ESA decision, it's been 8 months!

Many Thanks

Hi g111,

That is great news !!! :cheer:

Your comments regarding our site are much appreciated.

Yes, you are correct, as you now have an indefinite award of DLA, you can expect to be invited to claim PIP some time after October 2015.

I know that is pretty vague, but that is the only guidance that we are privy to.

Hi that's really good news on your DLA award. I too would like to say a massive thank you to this sight as I too have received an indefinite DLA award decision today. My DLA runs out in September 2014. Received the renewal forms on the 1st May. I filled them in using your guide, posted them off on the 7th May. Last week I rang them to see if they received the form, they confirmed they had and said a letter confirming this was on its way. I received that letter last week saying the decision were taking up to 12 weeks. Well to my surprise I received the decision today high rate care and mobility and the decision took less than 2 weeks. Once again thanks for all the help this site provides, no doubt I will use this site again for the pip fiasco.

Kind regards

Ray :)
