Hi,

Welcome to Benefits and Work Forum :)

If your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.

This can be done quite easily by following the instructions on this FAQ :

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Congratulations on The SG Award with a 3 year prognosis ! :cheer:

You may find : This Post of interest.

There is no 365 days limit to receipt of Contribution Based (CB) ESA whilst you remain in The SG.

So you will continue to receive your CB ESA for as long as you stay in The SG.

See : 12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)

From our : ESA FAQ’s

There is no limit to the amount of capital, assets, savings and any household income (except for a Works Pension over £85/Week) that you can have if all of your ESA payments are CB ESA.

You are allowed up to £6,000 in capital assets and saving before Income Related (IR) ESA is affected :

Asset rule for ESA(IR)

If you are being paid CB ESA only, and your capital assets and saving do not exceed the maximum amount, and you don't have a partner that works 24 hours/week or more, you may be entitled to IR ESA Premiums paid on top of your CB ESA :

ESA Premiums

As you are in The SG, this could include The Enhanced Disability Premium ! (EDP)

To be clear, for payment of any IR ESA Premiums, not only must you fulfill the qualifying criteria for "The Premium", you must be able to pass the IR ESA means test for entitlement to payment of IR ESA, as all ESA Premiums are paid as IR ESA.
