TOPIC: A huge heartfelt thank you

A huge heartfelt thank you 1 year 11 months ago #138152

Good Morning everyone :)
I just wanted to post to say thankyou so much for all the help this site offers, i've been a member for a few years and have always used the guides to assist me with DLA forms for both myself and my daughter.
I recently was invited to change from DLA to the dreaded PIP and was absolutely terrified at the prospect! i've never had help from anyone else filling in my forms but really considered it when the forms hit my mat and i looked them over, and will admit the thought of a medical was sending me into panic mode because i hate talking about how much my life has been stripped away.
The second time i looked at the forms was when i decided i just needed to get on with it and get them posted but before i put pen to paper i logged onto here and downloaded the nessesary guides and spent some time on the forum looking through others posts.

I spent 3 days filling in the forms using the guides and posted them off, 1 week later i had a date for a medical which was for 2 wks later, once again i looked through others personal experience's and the guides.
medical day came and i have to say the lady i had was lovely and made me feel at ease during the hr i was in there, i was honest and had my medication with me as proof and also copies of my personal pain diary which she was happy to photocopy and put as extra information.
3wks later the envelope arrived and i'm pleased to say i have been awarded until 2021!
Sorry for the long winded post and a huge thankyou to everyone who makes this site what it is. xx

Congratulation on The PIP Award until 2021, (you don't say what the awards were) !!! :cheer:

It must be a huge weight off your mind.

Thanks for relating your experiences and thank you for the positive feedback regarding B&W! :)
