Thank you all for your help and support, the guides have been invaluable and have helped me to get a positive result for my sons DLA to PIP transfer because he turned 16. I received the award today and he got Enhanced Care and Enhanced mobility until December 2019 without an assessment. It states the DM. has decided not to review the award before 29th December 2018. It then goes on to say we'll contact you after 29th December 2018 to make sure your receiving the right level of pip and it also says If your award has an end date, you'll be sent a letter around 14 weeks before your award ends, with regards to the renewal is it likely to be a full 12 months before award ends or 14 weeks as it says both?
I might actually get some sleep tonight

That's great news ejay! Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W
Good old DWP, they are not known for the clarity of their communication. The current practice is to start the reassessment process 1 year before the end date of the award. The excuse for this is that they are allowing extra time due to the slowness of the system!

Thank you hopefully we will at least have 3 years peace,
He was awarded Enhanced mobility because he can't follow the route of a familiar journey so does that mean he can not apply for a blue badge? we live in Liverpool.
also my wife is currently in the support group for Esa and has not received an ESA50 form since August 2013 are they still being deferred please? Thank you.
