TOPIC: Dla to pip

Dla to pip 1 year 2 weeks ago #158025

Success thanks to Benefits and Work. Awarded standard rate care and enhanced rate mobility - same as Dla amount. Only downside is change from a lifetime award to 5 years thanks to the wicked Tory millionaires

Hi Xerius,

Thanks for letting us know about your successful PIP award and for your kind words about B+W :)

Well, you could appeal against the duration of the award - but everything else would be looked at too. The whole philosophy behind the welfare reforms was that claimants would be reassessed periodically rather than 'languishing' on benefits for life (their words, not mine!). So we are seeing PIP awards much shorted than DLA was.
