Hi
I've had a severe flare up lasting over 6 weeks on this occasion. Due to severity I'm takingbmorphine and diazepam for it, then to make matters worse I've had a gout flare up affecting my joints, my hands are really bad. Anyway I've been given an extension thankfully.

I requested a copy of my pip award as I couldn't find the original. I was awarded enhanced care and mobility last time but on closer inspection they've only awarded me 1 point fir managing medication is dossette box. I'm shocked cause this is the one part of firm I'd included 4 additional pages of info. Use of Tens machine and help required to position pads, exercise programme and prompting and assistance to carry it out, carrying out relaxation/mindfulness again lots of prompting to carry this out. These are only a few of the things and all were as part of a pain management clinic, so specialist physio, specialist nurse and psychologist. 1 point seems ridiculous so for me that's a no change because they already have that info in my pip2 so do I do it all again but still tick no change.

I saw a rheumatologist just over a tear ago who's scored me 18/18 for fibromyalgia however her letter states its suspected fibromyalgia. I've had so many other difficulties and changes of medications but GP hasn't ever discussed this suspected fibromyalgia and I'm not on any new medications specifically for that so do I include it.

Go wrote me a letter last time requesting I be given a home visit, in seeing her for a follow up on my flare up so should I ask her at this point to give me a letter requesting a home visit. Also are there any templates on the site I can show GP and ask her to comment in a letter things she would think I have difficulty with given my Heath roo lens and medications.

Just wondering if most people are being given face to face interviews based on the review form , if there are no changes or if it's become harder to do activity?

Thanks

I would assume they have seen nothing for Managing Treatments before and supply all of the information again. One of the most important things to include if you have it are any letters from the pain management clinic about you carrying out the therapy and the effect that your failing to do so may have on your on-going health.

Also, be aware that therapy was re-defined in March of this year, so it is essential that there is no suggestion of these activities being medicinal, you must be referred to as therapy to score higher than the one point you received last time, I think the Tens treatment is the one that is most at risk as being seen in this way.

Yes, get your GP thinking about a letter requiring a home assessment, in particular there must be no suggestion that you can attend at the Assessment Provider offices, so phrases such as "might suffer harm" or "may..." will not hurt. also, you really don't want them to say that "my patient tells me" as this will be the kiss of death on the letter.

There is a document called GP Notes in the PIP section that might help your GP structure a letter of support.
