TOPIC: pip examination

pip examination 10 months 6 days ago #204314

Hi I have my face to face examination on Wednesday 19th January 2018. I subscribed to this site in December 2017 when I had my invite to apply for pip. I was awarded DVLA for live in 1995. I have found the information so far very beneficial in helping filling in the form. My daughter and I read what you had said what they are looking for, I am going to a physiotherapy centre for my examination. I am just not sure what to expect. All I can see is that it can take anything from 20 minutes to 2 hours. When I last saw my doctor last Thursday he said he has not heard from them. I feel as thought it is happening so quickly from having to have my form in for December 27th to be given a week notice for my examination. So how can they have all medical information from my ongoing consultant and doctor over the Christmas period. So how will they have my full history of my condition? Any advice would be gratefully received. Kind regards

Hello Honor,

Your application has certainly been processed quickly. Please be aware that it is not normal practice for the Assessment provider to contact your GP/Consultant. It does happen in some cases, but more often than not decisions are made from the information and evidence given by you when you send in your ESA50 and from the assessment if one is required. If you have any additional evidence that wasn't included with your claim, you could take copies of this with you to your assessment but make sure that each sheet has your name and national insurance number on it.
