Just received your news bulletin regarding DWP presenting officers to nobble top awards. I recently attended a tribunal with a young man and he was only awarded 4 points for daily activity and 0 points for mobility. It was very soon established the DWP presenting officer was challenging the 4 points and wanting them removed! When challenged by the judge his remarks were ' they were up for grabs, points can be removed as well as increased' The judge quite rightly informed him if this was his intention it should have been done before attending the court and the court should of been notified. He was request was overturned. The young man was awarded 8 points for daily living and 10 points for mobility. So members be aware that it is not just enhanced rates and if they are challenging the points already awarded they have not notify the court prior and not on the day of the appeal.
